Dr. Fenwick says anecdotes are the raw material of scienceA peer reviewed scientist patiently explains how Anecdotes are a foundation of science.
Carefully explained to a pseudoskeptic on a radio show. “Devotion to the truth is the hallmark of morality; there is no greater, nobler, more heroic form of devotion than the act of a man who assumes the responsibility of thinking.” - Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged
Re: Dr. Fenwick says anecdotes are the raw material of scienceexcellent - i must get the book - now that's what i CALL a logical and commonsense approach to a problem
Re: Dr. Fenwick says anecdotes are the raw material of scienceThis audio clip is a key example of where debunkers will give already discredited / ruled out weak skeptical explanations and ignore veridical details in the data entirely to suggest there must be nothing there and that it is all just wild brainless speculation. Gladly, Dr. Peter Fenwick wasn't going to tolerate that tactic.
"I think Eteponge's Blog is a pretty cool guy. eh debates Skeptics and doesnt afraid of anything."
Re: Dr. Fenwick says anecdotes are the raw material of scienceinteresting to note that our PsKeptical friends on this forum - are loath to argue this one where a "scientist" has made the pronouncement - but of course they cant can they as they espouse "science " as the basis of a lot of their arguments - so logically can not dispute what one of their gurus says - him being a scientist and all ( and a good one at that it would appear )

Re: Dr. Fenwick says anecdotes are the raw material of sciencehahahaaha funny
nice clip For every person who reads this valuable book there are hundreds of naïve souls who would prefer to have their spines tingled by a sensational but worthless potboiler by some hack journalist of the paranormal. You who now read these sentences join a small but wiser minority. Martin Gaardner (Psychology of the Psychic)
