It's incredibly stupid, in that there is not one scintilla of evidence to suggest a 'conspiracy' behind this event, nor is there probabilistic or circumstantial evidence, and it is driven completely by suspicion -- unlike the evidence that is present in other events that are labelled 'conspiracy'. If one scintilla of evidence did appear, I suppose we would then have to look at it.

Then there is the Nehemiah Griego case -- now parents will be too scared to even ground or discipline their kids? Those parents who keep assault rifles at home and train their kids in how to use them from an early age, that is. Good preparation for a happy military career invading resource rich countries on command! It's a little hard for the 'truthers' in this case to accuse this one of being a set-up.
