The psychological vestiges are the one's that really flip my lid, from six year olds knowing which bugs are good to eat, or talking to spirits, or inventing flint knapping, and human politics is mostly just chimp politics with chatter. I certainly consider the instinct to obey sincere sounding bullies a vestige of our pre verbal evolutionary past.
