Yes, Democracy as it's "supposed to work" is DEAD. It died the minute the Supreme Court allowed corporations to be viewed as human entities and thus, the flood gates were opened for buying politicians on a level never before possible. . . why else would millions of dollars be spent on a job that pays six digits? Look at how much negative baiting goes on, not from the candidates but via a coordinated group of independent "corporations" and faux Non-Profits which allow for deniability on the part of the candidates and organizers.
NO, the CIA and such aren't the evil underlings of whatever control element that's behind it all. . . and there is/are such influences though I do not believe it some kind of Illuminati/Alien connection. Fact is there's always been "outside fingers" in the mix and always will be. . . at least until ALL of humankind starts living in accordance to their perspective religions and/or similar moralities & ethos vs. the greed and oppression mode that's more or less saturated history & society.
Democracy, as in the sense of the idea of what America is supposed to be, is very much dead BUT, if you look around you will see that there is a growing movement to bring it back. I fear we will have to go through hell before the voice and will of the masses is actually heard and the corporate tyrants wake-up enough to realize they've getting castrated, but it seems that every so many centuries such things have to happen in order to correct course, bringing us back to something that's far more moral and ethical and just.Statistics: Posted by Craig Browning — 03 Jan 2012, 02:11
